The crew performance is evaluated and results are monitored once the seafarer signs off by German Marine Agency. Appraisal reports are given by their department heads and masters.

The performance evaluation criteria are based on standards set by our principals. Recommendations and suggestions for improvements are also requested by German Marine from the seafarer's direct supervisors, chief engineers and masters.

German shipping agency takes a proactive part in the development of its seafarers. Before the seafarers are sent onboard, they undergo needed training and seminars to prepare them for the challenges onboard the vessels.

Based on the performance evaluations, the seafarers are encouraged to update their knowledge and skills with regard to the implementation of their job responsibilities and duties. Upgrading of qualification to allow seafarers to move up in the career ladder is also highly encouraged.
