​Sr. Technical Superintendent for CSM D office - Hamburg(f/m)

COLUMBIA Shipmanagement Deutschland GmbH is one of the world’s leading shipmanagement companies. We are looking to recruit a Sr. Technical Superintendent for our office in Hamburg.
 
Sr. Technical Superintendent (Tankers) 
 
The successful candidate will be reporting to the Technical Fleet Manager and will have the following responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the safe operation of ships allocated to him;
  • Implementing and monitoring compliance with the Company’s Management System relevant to the shipboard and departmental activities;
  • Monitoring performance, technical and operational conditions of ships allocated to him;
  • Ensuring prudent financial management;
  • Arranging for repairs and dry dockings; 
  • Ensuring that the ships are fully certified according to international standards and requirements;
  • Preparing technical reports to owners in compliance with the management agreement;
·    Encouraging and developing a strong safety culture and environmental awareness on board ships assigned to him;
  • Providing support to the shipboard management in respect of technical and operational matters.
 
Candidate Profile


  • A marine degree from a university, with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience onboard Tankers
  • Engineer’s license with a minimum of two (2) years sea service as a Chief Engineer, or having been in a position of Technical Superintendent with another shipping company for a minimum of two years.
  • Good leadership and communication skills, as well the ability to work within a team;
  • Good command of the English language;
  • Good knowledge of the marine industry and applicable Rules and Regulations;
  • Knowledge about purchasing and budget cost control.

Technical Superintendent (Large Container Vessels) (f/m)

​Hotel Operations Superintedent for CCS Hamburg office (f/m)

Due to our continuous fleet expansion, we are looking for the right individual to strengthen and complement our Hamburg based team as 


Hotel Operations Superintendent


Your tasks:

•    Designated hotel operational responsibilities and supervision of on-board standards and services;
•    Supervision of Hotel Purchasing processes and activities;
•    Development and maintenance of fleet-wide health & hygiene standards and respective manuals in accordance with applicable rules & regulations;
•    Assist in preparation of contractual agreements with Hotel & Catering providers;
•    Supervising, controlling, monitoring performance and evaluating of the outsourced Hotel & Catering providers;
•    Hotel operational support to the fleet and clients;
•    Permanent communication with and periodic inspection of ships;
•    Administration and maintenance of departmental hotel operational manuals;
•    Development, and controlling of departmental Objectives and KPIs;
•    Promoting internal awareness for customer and hotel & catering provider requirements throughout the departments;
•    Support in marketing duties and responsibilities;
•    Participation in projects as assigned;
•    Back-Up of Hotel Operations Manager.

Your profile:

•    A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Hotel Operations in managerial position on a cruise ship or ashore;
•    A university degree or apprenticeship in one of the fields (or affiliated): economics, tourism, hotel or cruise management;
•    A team-player, supporting interaction with colleagues of other departments;
•    Profound knowledge about vessel specific health & hygiene standards (ShipSan, USPH, etc.) are desirable;
•    Good communication, and decision-making abilities;
•    Good command of English and German, written and spoken as well the current IT-standard software;
•    Willingness to travel;
•    The ability to perform under pressure and enjoying the interaction with clients complete your profile.
